On Saturday, October 16, 2010, Macy's will host the 5th annual Shop for a Cause benefit charities nationwide. Since 2006, Shop for a Cause has raised more than $34 million for regional and local charities across the country. This is your opportunity to be part of the excitement.
Here's all you need:
As a non-profit organizations with 501c3 status we are able to sell you tickets for this wonderful money saving event. What we need from you is to purchase tickets and tell all you can about this event. Great time to get gifts for the Holidays, Birthdays, Anniversaries, Baby Showers, Weddings, and much more (or just for you!).
Here's how our organization benefits:
As a participating non-profit organizations we will be given special shopping passes to sell for $5 each. We keep 100% of the proceeds.
Here is how you benefit:
When you Shop for a Cause on Saturday, October 16, 2010, you'll receive 20% (or 10%) savings* on almost all of their purchases, including regular, sale and clearance merchandise*, and 25%* off a single purchase. And, you will be eligible to win a $500 gift card, no purchase necessary.
What happens with the proceeds:
We will use all of proceeds toward our Phoenix Mobile Unit Services.
Health Services: Provide health care referrals and basic health care on our Outreach Unit.
- Treatment for injuries (basic first aide)
- monitoring of chronic health problems such as High Blood Pressure and Diabetes
- Free Confidential HIV/STD Testing
- Provide intervention and prevention education for HIV and Hepatitis.
Case Management: Provide referrals and services on our Outreach Unit.
- Referral to substance abuse treatment, support groups, mental health treatment
- Assistance with applying for food stamps and Medicaid.
- Food and clothing (depends on donations received )
